Cardinal Charles Bo says Pope's visit to Myanmar 'successful'

Cardinal Charles Bo, Archbishop of Yangon, spoke to Vatican Media about Pope Francis' Apostolic Visit to Myanmar, saying it will bear fruit of love and peace.

Cardinal Charles Bo told Vatican Media that Pope Francis' Apostolic Journey to Myanmar on 27-30 November was "very fruitful and successful".

He said the fruits of the visit "are still to be seen, especially the union of the different ethnic groups and the military."

Democracy, he said, "is still to be [tested], especially the unity and diversity is still to be seen and felt."

Cardinal Bo said the Pope's visit will surely bear fruit "of love and peace in the country".
